Abu Tayeb Khair-deen

Abu Tayeb is a graduated IT consultant from the University of Sunderland and a qualified IT & ESOL teacher. He has been involved in Islamic awareness training for the local community of Newcastle upon Tyne for the past 6 years for both Muslims and non-Muslims.

In recent years he has been involved in a number of charity and community projects, and is currently the project manager of EMTEP [Ethnic Minority Training and Education Project] where Abu Tayeb has set up, ran and supervised many community projects. This ranges from Prisoner Rehabilitation, Training and education, personal development, Job club, Homework clubs, BME Fostering & adoption and community relations.

Abu Tayeb has also been involved in prison work and lecturing/training within the prison service to inmates as well as providing a part time imam service for the HMYOI.

Training included Diversity training and IT training for inmates.

He is the community relations point of contact for Newcastle Central Mosque and has always kept good relations with local organisations and the press. He has organised public events on Islam and has a proven track record of delivering successful and professional programmes of learning.

He holds regular Friday sermons at the local university mosques and Islamic centres around Newcastle and is committed in calling people to the true understanding of Islam.
