Ahmed is French born of Moroccan background. Born in France in 1969, he came to the UK in 1986 to learn Islam. 

He graduated in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the 2 famous UK Islamic Schools in Dewsbury (Yorkshire) and Bury (Lancashire). He further on obtained a BA Hrs in Islamic Theology from the internationally well-reputed Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt. 

He has recently been involved in Academic Research on “Muslim and Islamic Education in the UK” at the University of Brighton where he also lectures regularly and tutors existing and to-be RE Teachers on all aspects of Islam. 

He has been and still is Imam of  (Royal) Tunbridge Wells Islamic Centre in Kent for the last 10 years and during this period has been very active in promoting a good understanding of Islam to faith groups, local authorities, schools and colleges and to the wider community in Kent and East Sussex. This includes regularly training Kent Police, Kent County Council and Kent Education Authority on Muslim/ Islam matters and speaking at seminars, talks with various Church Groups and other religious and non-religious organisations all over the South East of the country. 

He is also the Muslim Chaplain for Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust and Her Majesty’s Prison Service at Blantyre House. 

Ahmed is quadrilingual as he is fluent in English, Arabic, French and Urdu.
