What is the course for?

The course is designed for professionals who work with and deal with Muslim Communities and has responsibility for planning, delivering or developing policies for the communities they serve.  The course is ideal for those who wish to increase their knowledge about Islam and Non-Muslim Public Sector professionals working at operational level such as: Sure Start Workers, Teachers, Healthcare workers, Social Workers, Police etc. working with Muslim Communities.  The course is also useful for those who are involved at strategic level and policy makers who wish to promote equal access in service provision and promote equal opportunities, as part of the Race Relations Amendment Act 2000 and Religious Discrimination Regulation and those who are responsible for developing a community cohesion strategy and action plan.  The course also covers aspects that relate to the private sector and about understanding the needs of thier workforce.
