RE;INTRODUCTION TO ISLAM AND THE MUSLIM CULTURE COURSE

I feel I must write to thank you for such an enjoyable day at Masjid Tawhid, Leyton on Tuesday, 14th December 2004.

It was without doubt the most informative course I have attended in a long time. I noticed how quiet we, the students, were first thing, but as the day went on and the questions kept coming, it was proof you had everybody hooked!

I particularly enjoyed the talk from your guest speaker, who spoke eloquently and dispelled many misconceptions I had about the treatment of women. This also was a fifteen minute talk which extended to forty five due to the interest generated by the speaker.

It was a real privilege to be able to observe prayers in the most sacred part of the Mosque, and I was surprised to learn how closely related to Catholicism and Christianity Islam is.

I have passed on what I have learned to my colleagues and will not hesitate to recommend this day to anyone else.

As Elvis once said, 'Always leave them wanting more'. I would have liked to have another day, or more, to explore Islam in more depth.

I can't close without mentioning the food! Absolutely fantastic!
